What charges can I expect if my account is disconnected for non-payment?

Accounts that have been disconnected for non-payment are subject to the following charges:

  • Reconnection fee.
    • If the payment for reconnect is received during working hours (8:00am - 5:00pm M-F, excluding holidays), then the reconnection fee is $30.  If the payment is received outside of those hours, the fee is $50.
  • Additional Deposit.
    • The account will be reviewed to determine if an additional deposit is needed.  The deposit amount will range from $250 up to two times your highest electric bill.  To avoid the deposit charge, you can convert your account to a prepaid account.

This dies not apply to prepaid accounts.
